Really disappointed with the customer service at this location and frankly AE in general if this is the experience they want for their guests. Apparently a longstanding policy changed in July to a 30-day return, 60-day exchange. While the timeframe is common for retailers, there was no notification given while placing the order online. The cashier I worked with was very nice about it, but when she called over her manager (a heavyset woman, did not get her name) her tone was apathetic and unapologetic. I have been a manager for various retail stores and there is ALWAYS a manager override code for policy exceptions. I have been shopping with AE for 15+ years and held a card here previously. She was unconcerned with losing a lifelong customer that has literally spent thousands of dollars with this company. Her only offer was to call customer care, who probably would have stated the same policy. No thanks, you’ve wasted enough of my time already over what was probably a $50 return. Bye forever, AE.

I just went there. Was walking round and saw those jeans was 29.99. Then I about to pay for that and cashier said it’s almost 75 dollars. And I asked why than says 29.99. Even she didn’t say anything back. I should work properly not walk a round and not doing anything. I waited in the line for nothing. Really sucks

I don't normally shop in person, especially not at American Eagle, but this weekend I chose to go in due to eyeing some sales. I want to preface that I've bought a lot of jeans from AE over the years, as well as other clothes, so there's things I do like about the brand.

AE has work to do when it comes to plus sizing and the availability of plus sizes in their store. I found a pair of jeans I liked in my size, but I could not locate another pair in that same size and style. (Mind you, there's plenty of 0's and 2's available) While annoying and disappointing, this is expected. What was not expected and was disrespectful was how the teenagers working at the store responded when I asked them to check in the back for my size. To be clear, ANYONE has the right to ask a sales associate if they have more of an item in their size in the back. It became this weird showing of unprofessionalism when it was clear the cashier didn't want to go back and look, and the sales associate he called to the front didn't want to go back and look either. In addition to this, she further made me uncomfortable by repeatedly asking me what I needed when I clearly spelled it out for her. I'm not sure if this was just a display of a bunch of kids who don't really have any customer service skills, but it was unpleasant and lost my business.

I left the jeans and walked out. I'm not even sure if they did have the size I needed in the back, but I certainly wasn't going to stick around and continue to be mistreated. American Eagle, if you want people with all body types to shop at your store, you should make clothing available in their size. I should not have to go online to get what I need, and I definitely should not have had to undergo being shamed and made uncomfortable by a bunch of teenagers.

Store was clean and up kept, but one of the girls working there kept eyeing my sister and I down. We’re just 2 teenage girls trying to look at some clothing. I don’t know if it was a racial thing or what. We ended up leaving because we were uncomfortable.
