The two women who run this shop are the sweetest Italians. Quality craftsmanship, attention to detail, and great service. I needed a gown hemmed in a pinch for a black tie wedding. I wanted the dress to hit the floor and not show any shoe -- and it was altered perfectly. She also suggested a small alteration to the bust to make it more snug, which was perfect. Would absolutely recommend and cannot wait to come back.

My husband has a sweater he really likes for some reason and he's been asking me to go get the zipper fixed for the longest time. I brought it here and the women in there looked at it as if it was a waste of their time and had the worst attitude, asking me if it was worth fixing and that it was 30 dollars, and if I wanted to pay it and if I will pay it Obviously I'm in there for a reason but they act like certain money is dirty money. Horrible disgusting attitudes.

These ladies make magic happen. I found a Larry Levine coat at a local thrift store and fell in love with it. Before purchasing, I noticed the lining on the inside was ripped terribly on both sides (I only have a pic of the side with the bigger rip). I called my aunt who has expertise in the fashion industry and she said it could potentially be patched. Replacing the entire lining will be very expensive and may be more than if I just bought a brand new coat. She ironically was down the street from the tailor she uses and showed her the picture I have here. The lady was opposed to fixing it, and then said she could probably replace the section. So I bought it thinking she will fix it (it was only $8, so if it was unrepairable, it was not too much of a loss. But I felt confident hearing that she would do it). I bring it to her the next day and she looked appalled. She said she can't fix it and would have to replace the whole lining...$140 and I would get it in 2 weeks. I would have just bought a brand new coat at that price! I told her I would think about it. I searched for tailors nearby and called Moda Alterations. I brought it in and they pulled out a piece of black lining and said they could replace it. They provided great advice and they were suggesting the most cost-effective solution for me. I felt like they were determined to help me. Considering the rip was on the inside, I wasn't too particular about how it would look because no one would see it. I told them I ideally wanted to wear it to a job interview in two days, but was never expecting for it to be done by then. Wrong. They had it for me THE NEXT DAY. And the coat is GORGEOUS. You would never have known the black piece wasn't the original vision for the coat. These ladies are wizards. A coat like this would've been roughly $200 and with the alteration, I paid $33. Wonderful service and a very reasonable price. I will refer Moda Alterations to anyone I know who needs a service. Thank you again, ladies!

I had ordered a dress online for my brother's wedding and even though I had ordered 2 sizes up the dress didn't fit right. I brought my dress to Moda on Tuesday they took measurements and told me what they would fix. I went for a fitting today (Thursday) with my shoes. She made two small adjustments and the dress was ready an hour later. They were able to find the same fabric so you can't even tell they did anything. They did an amazing job! I would highly recommend them! She even steamed and cleaned it for me since my dogs hair had gotten all over it when I took it out of the package. It was a lot less then I thought it was going to be!!!! super happy!!!

I came to her all the time and she did great work, and prices were fine. This time, I came in for a simple shortening of about 2 inches on a bridesmaid dress and it was $120. My sister brought hers in for shortening and taking in and it was ALSO $120. Another bridesmaid got straps adjusted and it was $85. Over priced and inconsistent, and they will never tell you an estimate beforehand! And at then at that point they have your dress so you're stuck! I probably won't ever be back.

Wonderful shop and tailors. Yes she doesn’t take appointments, but she spends as much time as necessary to make every customer feel special. I have trusted Agnes with many vintage dresses and she has done nothing but perfect them to fit my body! She is knowledgeable and honest in all her work! True integrity at this shop!

I brought my wedding dress here on the recommendation of a family friend. Not only are they disorganized , but unprofessional. I asked for a receipt for when I came back in to get the dress. The owner looked at me like I was crazy. She said , I know who you are.
They did a horrible job on the alterations. When I went for the fitting , after she made the “supposed alterations” , the right strap kept falling off my dress. I told her it needed to be adjusted , so it would stop falling. She begrudgingly sewed it, and obviously not very well. So many of my pics were ruined by my strap constantly falling down. She charged $180 on a dress that needed little to no alteration. No hem , it was nearly a perfect fit. Would never recommend them.
